Welcome to

Heritage Christian School

Heritage Christian School opened for instruction in 1985.  Organizers shared a desire that a Christian School be established to help them educate their children in the service of their Creator.  Since 1985, Heritage has grown in many ways.  We have grown in numbers – families, students, and staff.  We have grown in opportunities – curricular and extracurricular.  We have grown in our knowledge of HOW to teach – because of the ways that our staff members desire to grow and to help each other grow.  We have grown in our love for the Lord and for Christian Education.

As we come together as a community to start the 2026-2027 school year, we consider the words of Psalm 28:7, “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.”  Our work can only be successful if we understand and embrace the meaning of this verse.

A person who is in danger of some sort needs another person to be their strength.  They need a shield.   This is our need.  We cannot accomplish the good work of Christian education by ourselves.  Many talented and gifted people work at Heritage.  Many bright students are making their way through their school years.  But, we are only able to teach and learn when we  know Who gives us that strength.  I pray that we can begin the year with that knowledge.

He assures us that He will help us, and we go forth rejoicing and singing.  May the lyrics of our song be evident in our classrooms, chapels, field trips, bus rides, and recess times.  May the words be from Psalm 90 about a God who helped in ages past Who is our hope for future years!  May all of our instruction point the students to the One who created this earth and is preparing our earthly home!

We look forward to serving our families and students in the upcoming year.  If you are new to Heritage or the area, and you have questions about Heritage Christian School, please contact us.  We would be happy to arrange a visit of the school or to discuss any aspect of the instruction that we provide.
