SONG OF THE WEEK

O Come, All Ye Faithful

O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant,

Come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem;

Come and behold Him, born the King of angels:

O come, let us adore Him,

O come, let us adore Him,

O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord. .

Yea, Lord we greet Thee, born this happy morning,

Jesus, to Thee be all glory giv’n;

Word of the Father, now in flesh appearing:

O come, let us adore Him,

O come, let us adore Him,

O come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.

SCHOOL NEWS:

Hot Lunch - Friday, January 7  Fazoli’s, Chips, Ice Cream

Workers: (Please be here by 11 AM)

Our Christmas Chapel will take place tomorrow morning at 8:15 AM. The chapel will be a singing chapel with several special numbers.

Christmas Collection: One more day to send in your gift! Each year at Christmas time, the students here at Heritage contribute to a Christmas collection. This year the collection will go to the Grace Foster Home in Vellore, India, run by Paul Raj and his wife. The orphanage houses approximately 50 children. The money collected will be sent to the Georgetown PRC India Mission Committee to distribute to the orphanage or buy necessary items for them. Money can be given to the office or to individual classroom teachers.

Girl's 8th Grade Basketball:  Time to get started again.  We have practices planned for Tues. Dec. 28, 12 - 2 pm and Thurs. Dec. 30, 12 - 2 pm.  If you have any questions or are unable to be at practice, call school.

The Building Committee is holding a Work-Bee next week Wednesday, December 29 at 7 PM. The goal of the evening is to blow out and clean all the radiators in the school classrooms. All are welcome - bring along a shop vac and air compressor with air nozzle if you have access to them.

We recently received a check from our Paper Gator recycling for $203.01! Keep bringing in your old papers. We appreciate it!!

ACH Tuition payments: For those who signed up for ACH tuition payments, the January payment will be deducted from your account on Monday, January 3.

Volunteer opportunities: We are looking for moms or grandparents who are a bit knowledgeable in music to help out on either Monday or Wednesday mornings from 8:15 until 9:30 with 4th grade recorder and 5th grade band students. If you may be interested, call Karen in the office. We are also looking for moms without kids at home or for grandparents who are willing to come in at various times and help administer tests for the Resource Rooms (grades 4-9). The reason we put the “kid clause” in here is that this is not a regular day/time position. The volunteer would need to be somewhat flexible for help times. Again, please call Karen if you are interested.

The Farbers, a collection of stories about a fictional Christian family, written by Gertrude Hoeksema is still available at Heritage Christian School.  You may purchase it for $6 a copy from the school office.  If you know of someone on the mission field that would benefit from it, they may have a copy for free.

The yearbook staff still needs page sponsors and patrons!

·          Page Sponsors get a business card size color ad to run along the bottom of the page which will cost $85.

·          Patrons get their name or business listed (without a logo) which will cost $45.

·          Parents and students are invited to submit your own photos of school events for the yearbook. If you have take pictures, please submit them by doing the following: log on to https://images.jostens.com/login, enter username: 400055188, enter the password: heritage, browse to select the photo you wish to upload and click on “upload chosen image”, enter info on the picture along with your contact info in case the Yearbook staff has questions, click on “save details”.
