This is a collection of reviews of great books for kids, ideas of ways
to use them in the classroom and collections of books and activities
about particular subjects, curriculum areas, themes and professional
topics.
CyberGuides
CyberGuides are
supplementary, standards-based, web-delivered units of instruction
centered on core works of literature. Each CyberGuide contains a
student and teacher edition, standards, a task and a process by which
it may be completed, teacher-selected web sites and a rubric, based on
California Language Arts Content Standards. In the guides, the magenta
text indicates the language (or context-appropriate equivalent to the
language) of the content standards.

National Geographic Xpeditions
The lesson plans on this
site were written by educators and have been tested in the classroom.
Together, they address all of the U.S. National Geography Standards,
the five geography skills, and the main geographic perspectives.
