Psalter #298
My steadfast heart, O God,
Will sound Thy praise abroad with tuneful string;
The dawn shall hear my song,
Thy praise I will prolong,
And where Thy people throng thanksgiving bring.
God’s word shall surely stand;
His Name through ev’ry land shall be adored;
Lord, who shall lead our host?
Thy aid we covet most,
In Thee is all our boast, strong in the Lord.

READ
Summer is a great time for your child to read. Often during the busyness of the school year, students don’t have time to read simply for enjoyment. This is good for them. So, the summer is a super time for them to get into this habit. There are lists available of novels appropriate for different age levels. Libraries have these lists and so do many literature teachers. Help your child pick books from these lists or at random from the library shelf. Discuss with them how to evaluate whether or not a book is proper for a Christian to read. Be sure that they choose books which are at their reading level or slightly above that level. Encourage them to read every day. This will help expand their vocabulary and develop reading and comprehension skills. They will benefit from doing this reading…And they will have something to do.

Grandparents Day was a wonderful day! We heard many compliments from the grandparents who visited. They appreciated the visits very much. Thank you to the Committee for all their hard work, the moms who donated food and helped with setup and serving, and the students who helped with the setting up of tables and chairs. If you brought food, please remember to pick up your dishes in the kitchen. We have a good number of clean, empty dishes waiting to be claimed.

You have until Friday, May 16 to return this form. Since some teachers will be making their class lists soon, requests turned in after Friday, May 16 will not be considered.
